Recently, I had eye surgery performed by an amazing young man, Dr. Steven G. Safran, MD, PA, Eye Physician and Surgeon. As a result my vision has improved greatly and I was privy to a dedicated professional who takes pride in his patient’s well being. I was impressed not only by his surgical skills, but also his genuine concerns for his family and the compassion he shows for his patients. He was recommended to me by a number of friends who were his patients and, for that, I thank them. And, Thank you, Dr. Safran, a credit to the medical profession

Dear Dr. Safran
How can I ever thank you enough for what you have done for me. Coming to you, with hardly any sight in my right eye, through another doctor’s careless mistake, you have brought my vision back so much in that eye. Then you operated on my left eye removing the cataract, and it’s perfect. Through the surgery you kept assuring me everything is going as it should and that helped so much after the experience I had before. (If I had only known about you before.)
I can’t stop telling everyone about you if they need eye care or eye surgery.
It’s so hard to put into words how much I appreciate what you have done for me and can’t thank you enough.

Dr. Safran,
Just a note to say thank you from my family and me for giving me back my vision. I’m sure you know my daughters Kathy and Nancy were following my cataract surgery on March 31st; you told them it had been successful! However it wasn’t until the morning of April 2nd when I picked up my daily paper and I could read the print and I cried! I couldn’t believe it!
I am so grateful Dr. Shah suggested I see you. Thank you Dr. Safran, you are the greatest!

Dear Dr. Safran:
I’m so sorry it has taken me so long to write this thank-you note. I apologize.

Last week, I saw Dr. Desai for an eye exam. When he finished, he pushed his chair back, shook his head and said, “Dr. Safran did a beautiful job on both of your eyes- absolutely perfect”. I wholeheartedly agree and I would recommend you to anyone. I was almost blind in my left eye and now my vision is just about perfect in that eye. I only use glasses now to read. I really cannot believe it because it is almost a miracle for me.
Once again, thank you for my beautiful eyesight and please extend my thanks to your entire staff for being so nice to me.

This is a heartfelt note of gratitude and appreciation for your magnificent work re-doing the botched cataract surgery I was a victim of when using another surgeon.
Anyone else might not have wanted to get involved in such a difficult and demanding surgery. Your superb skill aside, it was your commitment to helping me and making sure my vision was enhanced that made all the difference.
I will always be grateful to you that you took on the task of literally “undoing”, and then “redoing” someone else’s mistake.
I feel very, very lucky to have you as my doctor, and I am doing quite well with my new implant these days.

To My Wonderful Husband,
I just retyped these testimonials word for word; I picked a few from hundreds of thank you cards that we have posted in the office and on file. I actually had tears in my eyes typing them, they were so touching. I know what they are saying is true and how dedicated you are to your patients and to your profession, always wanting to do the absolute best for your patient. You are ethical and honest and do the right thing for all your patients! You take patient care to the next level, giving up your free weekend time to go in if a patient has an emergency, answering phone calls yourself, paying attention to even the smallest of concerns and willing to give of yourself so much for others. You read countless journals, attend seminars, give lectures, and do research, so you can stay ahead of the curve. Most of all our vacations are centered on Ophthalmology Meetings. It’s fun for me because I get to see other interesting places and you get to see the inside of a convention building. When you come out at the end of the day I know you are tired but somehow you seem to be recharged by the day’s activity and the knowledge you keep acquiring. You have endless energy and apply it to all the right places. Your passions are your work, working out, golf and of course US. Even after a long day you still have time for a catch with the boys, a baseball game, or a rock concert. Movies or a show and dinner are our favorite. Your family loves you, your patients love you and we are all so proud of you. Our son Jordan wants to be an Ophthalmologist just like his Dad.

I have told “my story” to so many who are amazed by what can be done in today’s world, especially when we so often hear about negative things.
